| “SavingOpusOne” initially launched as a “project” focused on anti-factory farming in 2007. By 2008, “SavingOpusOne” incorporated to produce it’s first vegan product, SoyGo. Founded and operated by Billboard charting artist, Madison Park and Ruth Arotsky of CT Lasers; SOO continues their efforts of education and legislation while also bringing healthy, all-natural products to the public. Read further for the story behind how we began... In early 2007, DeAnna Cool (of Madison Park) and Ruth Arotsky teamed up to create, SavingOpusOne. What brought them together was the very song “Opus One” which appeared on Madison Park's debut album, released 2004. The very day that Madison Park uploaded the video for “Opus One” to YouTube, Ruth’s curiosity about the message behind the song that had appeared in her iPod for months at the time, led her to youtube, that same day. The timing was uncanny. And the message hit her hard. She reached out to thank Madison Park for opening her eyes to the truth behind factory farming. They connected quickly over a shared passion to fight this triple threat and soon thereafter began SOO. (Factory farming is a triple threat as it causes insurmountable animal suffering, destruction to our environment, and puts human health at risk.) To launch project SOO, CT Lasers began lighting up New Haven with Madison Park's name, hoping to link viewers back to the “Opus One” video - and it was working. Flyers were then created about factory farming and teams of people across the U.S. began distributing them to bring people back to the video and its message. Approaching 170K views on YouTube alone, Madison Park continuously receives thankful emails from fans explaining how the video changed their views and the food choices they make. Currently, a collection of projects are being conducted by SOO including various legislative works, helping to gain protective laws for farm animals, and their product SoyGo has recently entered various Whole Foods Markets in the US, along with numbers of independent natural food retailers. SoyGo can additionally be found in the UK, Canada, and Australia. Also soon to hit the market is loose cannisters of SoyGo, called “SoyGo, Can It!”; as well as several other exciting items currently in production. A little more about SoyGo: Each package of SoyGo contains 25 individual sachets of soy powder creamer made with the finest, organic soy powder and all-natural ingredients. Consumers also find a small flyer inside containing a very specific message about factory farming. Madison Park recently released album #3 which also includes a lengthy message on factory farming inside the CD’s insert. CT Lasers conducts a monthly advertising campaign where the anti-factory farming message appears in lights across the most high-traffic areas of the Northeast region. The founders of SavingOpusOne never fail to take advantage of an opportunity to speak out against factory farming. It is their plight to make positive change for these animals, the environment and ultimately human health. The “Opus One” video can be found here on our website under Media. Thanks for reading our story and we welcome your help to make change! |
